F (Federico) Andreotti, PhD
Biography
Dr. Federico Andreotti is Assistant Professor in the Earth Systems and Global Change Group at Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on food systems transformation through participatory and co-creation approaches, with emphasis on designing and facilitating analog serious games (food system games) as tools for co-creation, reflection, and action.
He co-coordinates the WUR Game Hub and leads Games at TABLE, an international platform on food system games. He is part of the Circular Food Systems (CiFoS) research team led by Hannah van Zanten, where he co-creates strategies and future visions for food system transformation through participatory processes, combining the CiFoS game and model. His research evaluate how serious games enable dialogue, foster learning, and support collective action toward just and sustainable food system futures.
During his PhD, at the University of Montpellier, Cirad and Wageningen Univeristy he co-produced sustainable futures for agrobiodiversity with smallholder farmer organizations using participatory methods as games. He holds an MSc in Resilient Farming and Food Systems from Wageningen University & Research and previously worked as an open science and agroecology consultant.
