F (Florence) Taaka

I am an open minded, social and positive person. Passionate about using my knowledge, experience and skills to contribute to a more just and inclusive world. A personal motto which keeps me going is ‘Either you win or you learn’! I am therefore assertive, analytic, emphatic and result driven! I have perseverance to deliver quality on time and love to work with people from different cultures.

I obtained a Master of Development and Rural Innovation here at WUR and a Bachelor of Community Development from Makerere University in Uganda. I possess over 14 years of experience in the International Cooperation sector - (7 years of program management in the global south and 7 years in Institutional fundraising here in the Netherlands).

My work mainly entails: fundraising (mapping, prospect analysis, and engaging) for institutional donors, focusing on private foundations and trusts; facilitating and coordinating grant writing processes for this segment of donors and managing donor relationships.

I am excited to join University Fund Wageningen as a Relationship Manager Trusts and Foundations. I look forward to collaborating with Professors, academics, researchers, program managers and business developers among others to position WUR as a preferred partner for the foundations market. I believe that this will go a long way in making her ground breaking research and innovations in different themes more relevant for  societal challenges of our time.
