G (Guohui) Shen

My name is Guohui Shen. I am a PhD candidate in the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources (ENR) Group at Wageningen University & Research, under the supervision of Associate Professor Xueqin Zhu and Assistant Professor Théo Konc. I joined WUR through the CAAS-WU Joint PhD Programme and started my PhD in China in September 2025.

My research focuses on sustainable food system transitions, particularly on the interactions between food consumption, nutrition, and environmental sustainability. I am especially interested in understanding consumer food choices and preferences and how dietary transitions can contribute to healthier and more environmentally sustainable food systems.
