GA (Amanda) Krijgsman, MSc
Biography
Driven by my passion for people and nature, my research focuses on contributing to the transition towards a just and sustainable society. Central to this is building knowledge and skills as a catalyst for sustainable practices, and questioning and dismantling unsustainable practices, within the dynamic process of transformative change. Through participatory action research, I aim to connect the physical, technical, economic, political, and social aspects of complex spatial and societal issues. Inspired by critical pedagogy and transition management methods, my goal is to illustrate and understand the diversity of innovative, environmentally conscious values, perspectives, and methods, and how they integrate into everyday culture. Themes I focus on include agroecology, ecosystem-based adaptation, biodiversity, nature-inclusive cities, and human-nature relationships.
