H (Haki) Pamuk, PhD

I am a senior impact evaluation and investment researcher at Wageningen Social and Economic Research, the applied social and economic research institute of WUR. My research studies are centred around three questions: What are the causal effects of food system interventions? Which of those interventions are most cost-effective? How can we finance those interventions? 

In my research positions at WUR for more than 10 years, I have led and been involved in several other contractual and academic research assignments, partnering with private-sector companies, non-governmental organisations, international organisations, and other research organisations to advance understanding of those research questions. Some of those studies have also appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Management Science, Journal of Development Economics, Food Policy, Journal of Development Studies, and Journal of African Economies.

I joined Wageningen Economic Research (WEcR) in September 2017. In 2014, I received my Ph.D. in Economics at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. From 2014-2020, I held a post-doc position in the Development Economics Group at Wageningen University and Research.
