As a project leader and researcher, I work for the Sustainable Forest Ecosystems (SFE) team.
My areas of expertise: the conservation and use of Autochthonous trees and shrubs, genetic diversity, biodiversity, the National Register of forest reproductive material (Rassenlijst Bomen), nature credits, facilitation and stakeholder engagement.

I believe in the power of collaboration between science, policy, and practice. I love bringing people together, organising inspiring meetings, and facilitating processes to foster knowledge sharing and collaborations. I often say: "I don’t want to change the world myself, I want to help those who change the world." It might sound a little crazy – and of course, you still contribute that way – but for me it’s about the energy I get from facilitating others and making them thrive.

I would love to see our team’s expertise – from sustainable land use and forest modelling to biodiversity and stakeholder participation – applied more and more internationally, always in close cooperation.
