ing. JJCF (Jeroen) van Bon

Jeroen is part of the business unit Biobased Products (BbP) of Wageningen Food and Biobased Research (WFBR). As Business Development Manager he explores market opportunities and establishes Research and Development projects together with industries, SME’s, governments, NGO’s and other WUR entities.

In close cooperation with scientific experts Jeroen focusses on challenges in optimal valorization of biomass via biorefinery. Improvement of sustainability, development of responsible and viable new value chains, and development of next generation biobased products and technology yielding a competitive advantage are amongst the main themes nowadays.

After finishing his Bachelor in polymer chemistry Jeroen started working at WFBR in 2001. As scientist and project leader he was involved in many biomaterials and biorefinery research projects. In 2018 he switched to business development. It is his ambition to realize new innovations that will enable our partners to take the next step towards a more sustainable future by acting now.
