Biography

Ingrid has over 25 years’ experience in Aquatic Resource Management (wetlands,  fisheries and coastal zones) and more recently in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management. She designs and facilitates learning trajectories exploring the interface between water, climate risk and food security. Capacity needs assessment, curriculum development and the “Training of Trainer” approach are her particular strengths. Development of interactive material and games take centre stage in her capacity as a facilitator. Ingrid likes to inspire people to change their practices through constructive dialogue and reflection. She facilitates the development of management plans balancing economic development and environmental sustainability. She has strong organisational and leadership skills and is practiced in mobilising manpower and resources. Policy design and legal advice are part of her work; global conventions are recognised. She partners worldwide with CBOs, NGOs, knowledge institutes, the public and private sector.
