JA (Julissa) Galarza Villamar, MSc

I am a Postdoc on the FIRE-RES project, where I explore the social side of wildfires. I am specialized in livelihood resilience to different kinds of risks, including floods and infectious diseases. My research focuses on the role of collective action to either create or hinder the conditions for a risk to express and manage it. My methodological approach is on using methods that place people as central players of a socio-ecological system (e.g. mixed methods that involve art-based and gamification approaches).
