João started his Ph.D. in April 2023. His Ph.D. research is part of the European Commission funded project RATION - Risk AssessmenT InnOvatioN for low-risk pesticides, which has been in close collaboration with other H2020 and HORIZON Europe projects. This project aims to address the regulatory constraints hampering the full potential and market reach-out of Low-Risk Pesticides (LRP). Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. JHH (Justus) Wesseler and Dr. K (Kutay) Cingiz, João's research objective is to develop a new and harmonized risk assessment scheme for the approval of LRP, within the EU
