Biography
I am passionate about understanding how tropical forests recover and function under global change. In my PhD research, I study how climate and landscape context shape drought adaptation, community composition, and forest growth in young secondary tropical forests. By combining plant functional traits, community data, and forest growth measurements from the first decade of forest regeneration, my work aims to improve predictions of forest recovery and to inform restoration strategies that align species selection and management with local environmental conditions.
