JM (Jan) Droesen, MSc

Jan integrates his expertise in landscape analysis and GIS in his current role as a Land Use Analyst. In that capacity Jan contributes to projects in land use monitoring and exploring.

Previously, at Movares from 2017 to 2023, Jan worked as a Geodata Engineer, focusing on data solutions for large-scale infrastructural projects. He played a role in building a data storage and engineering platform, gaining experience in programming and data management.

With an academic foundation including an MSc in Geo Information Science from Wageningen University, he gained his skills in GIS and remote sensing. During his BSc in Spatial Planning he learned to understand the layering and planning of the landscape.

Jan’s approach is characterized by a results-oriented, analytical and collaborative spirit yielding high-quality products. His ambition is to contribute to an enhanced comprehension and shaping of the environment.
