Biography
Biography
I am a marine ecologist with a background in education and science communication.
Prior to beginning my PhD I worked on various research topics, including shipwreck ecology in Scotland, blue shark distribution in UK waters, and ecosystem monitoring of coral reefs in Honduras and Marine Protected Areas around the UK. I have also led advisory reports for the UK Government, including a Rapid Evidence Assessment of carbon stored in commercial fisheries and recommendations for Offshore Wind Environmental Standards.
Working as a part of the NO-REGRETS project, my PhD will investigate the ecological effects of offshore wind farm developments. Specifically, I study the trophic interactions between plankton and wind turbine biofouling communities.
