Dr. Loc Huu Ho, commonly known as Josh, is an Assistant Professor of Water Systems and Global Change Group (WSG). Josh is an eco-hydrologist at heart and a keen NBS enthusiast. He is currently PI of multiple NBS-theme projects looking at water and food security in the Lower Mekong Region, focusing on Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. 

In addition to research projects, Josh also focused on providing high quality pedagogy as he has made several efforts to streamline NbS knowledge from research projects to the high school syllabus in the Mekong Delta, contributing to upgrading sustainability education in Southeast Asia.

Before joining Wageningen University, he served as an Assistant Professor at Water Engineering and Management at the Asian Institute of Technology teaching Hydrodynamics, River Engineering, and Flood Modelling. Josh obtained his doctoral degree from Kyoto University Japan (2017) in Environmental Engineering and master’s degree from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (2015). Josh did his postdoc at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore where he taught Sustainability and Geography, Feeding the World, and Introductory Statistics.
