M (Mauricio) Espinoza Hermoza
Biography
Mauricio Espinoza Hermoza was born in Lima, Peru, on January 14th, 1985. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a master’s degree in Agriculture, Environment, and Regional Economics from Pennsylvania State University in the United States. He is currently an adjunct researcher at the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE) in Peru. With a research focus on development and agricultural economics, Mauricio’s specific interests include inequality, productivity, food systems, and impact evaluation. He has worked extensively in Latin America and contributed to projects in Africa and South Asia, collaborating with governments, academic institutions, and international organizations. Outside of work, Mauricio is married to Paola, who is also pursuing a PhD in Europe. He enjoys playing football, sharing a beer with friends after matches, traveling and hiking with his partner, and having barbeques with his brothers.
