My name is Nemo (Moos) Koning and my aim is to contribute to sociological and cultural studies of food and emotion, having a particular focus on tensions around culinary tradition and heritage in a contemporary context of sustainability, health challenges and political polarisation. These interests come together nicely in the research project that I co-run 'Rethinking the meaning of meat within tradition through intervention', which looks into the cultural and religious embeddedness of meat eating while exploring possible intervention strategies.
