PAG (Paul) Schöpfer, MSc

I am a PhD candidate in the Development Economics Group (DEC) at Wageningen University & Research. My dissertation, "Enhancing Life Outcomes. The Interplay of Holistic Skills, Preschool Education, and Technology of Instruction," examines which interventions in schools and homes improve how children in low- and middle-income countries learn. It builds on randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies in The Gambia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Bulgaria, carried out with partners such as the Gambian Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, NewGlobe, Aflatoun International, and the University of Chicago. My supervisors are Joost de Laat, Esther Gehrke, and Thomas van Huizen.
