The main aim of my research is to obtain a better understanding of the impact of (economic, agricultural, environmental and other) policies on rural household choices that affect the use of natural resources, the quality of the natural environment and the quantity and quality of the produced food. The main regional focus of my research is China (see interview), although I have also undertaken and published research on other less-developed countries.
