Biography

Kasper Hettinga works as professor "Dairy processing & Functionality"  in the chair group "Food Quality & Design". He received his PhD at Wageningen University, for a thesis describing a new method for mastitis pathogen identification. Since finishing his PhD, he started his own research group on milk protein functionaliteit. His main research topic is studying the impact of processing on protein functionality, with a focus on protein digestion and immune response and their role in the health of newborns.
