Biography

Robert Masolele, PhD, is a geoinformation scientist developing and scaling AI-driven solutions for large-scale mapping and monitoring of land use change. His research leverages high-resolution satellite imagery and deep learning to model the spatial patterns of agricultural expansion and its environmental impacts. With a PhD in Remote Sensing and Deep Learning, a Master's in Geo-information Science, and prior professional experience with the Tanzanian Forest Service, Dr. Masolele brings a unique, end-to-end perspective to spatial data science, from algorithmic innovation to policy-relevant applications.
