Biography

Biography

I enjoy working across multiple scales of farming systems and combining different disciplines. My research therefore spans agronomy, economics, and marketing, with a broader focus on farming systems analysis. In my PhD project, I work towards co-designing pathways for sustainable intensification and improved market coordination in Tanzania’s soybean value chain. I conduct participatory on-farm experiments, farm surveys, and stakeholder interviews, and I organise stakeholder workshops to disseminate findings and co-design options with key actors.

Previously, after completing an MSc in Ecology at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), I worked as a Junior Researcher at Plant Production Systems (PPS), contributing to three projects. Within the Excellence in Agronomy Initiative under OneCGIAR, I developed a methodology for farm typology using mixed data sources. In the FoSTA- One Health project, I conducted a systematic review on legume integration experiments in Malawi, and later supported the design and monitoring of agronomic trials. Building on my MSc thesis work, I also contributed to the Sustainable Soybean Production in Northern Ghana (SSPiNG) project, where I analysed the effects of soybean expansion on household food security and nutrient dynamics.
