S (Sam) Loontjens

I am a PhD candidate at the Horticulture and Product Physiology group. I'm working on projects related to photosynthesis and crop growth in the greenhouse and vertical farming. I am interested in a broad range of subjects, including dynamic photosynthesis in fluctuating light; rapid phenotyping of photosynthetic traits; novel sensor technologies; greenhouse horticulture, vertical farming and the many opportunities brought about by LED lighting.
