SH (Sjoerd) Brandsma, MSc

I am a landscape architect, researcher and lecturer at the Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning group at Wageningen University. After finishing my master in landscape architecture at Wageningen University I worked as a landscape architect for Oikosdesign and karres+brands, and designed on water cleaning landscapes, flower shows, ecological gardens, parks and ecological urban expansions. Currently I am a (staff) PhD-researcher studying microclimates and the implementation of urban climate-responsive design strategies in urban design processes. As a lecturer I supervise BSc. and MSc.-thesis students, participate in several bachelor design studios and coordinate our master Park Design Studio. Together with TU Delft and AMS Institute I teach design professionals about implementation of urban climate-responsive design strategies.
