Biography

I’m Sung Kyeom Kim, who is an associate professor at the Department of Horticulture, Kyungpook National University, South Korea. I am responsible for the research and education of the protected horticulture field. My primary research is dedicated to the development of process-based models for the growth of vegetable crops and the application of these models to optimize climate control strategies in greenhouses, thereby increasing the profitability of farms. I am currently the field editor in the HEB journal, and I published a total of 53 papers in SCI-indexed journals (H-index 16). I’m currently a visiting researcher at the HPP research group at Wageningen University & Research, where I am conducting research for a period of one year, until 5th February 2026.
