T (Thijs) Koop, MSc

I'm a researcher at Wageningen Environmental Research, where I work on projects ranging from LiDAR based vegetation assessments, large-scale habitat mapping and developing innovative techniques for biodiversity monitoring. I finished my MSc Geo-Information Science at Wageningen University with my thesis focused on the use of 'AHN' LiDAR data to count the trees in the Netherlands for the National Forest Inventory. Also, I have professional experience as a Remote Sensing Data Analyst at an innovative geospatial startup and have worked as GIS Specialist on the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation.
