Making a real difference towards the sustainable and responsible use and the protection of ocean, coastal, delta and riverine resources, through scientific research, knowledge, and advice. That is the mission of Wageningen Marine Research.
We do that in many different ways, at many locations, and with a broad variety of partners. This is because making a difference can never be done alone, but always in interaction with other stakeholders: policymakers, politicians, other knowledge institutes, business and societal partners. It is for this reason that the current strategic plan of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is called ‘Finding Answers Together’.
