Are you a good communicator, do you feel familiar with administrative tasks, and would you like to play a key role in maintaining our international contacts as an administrative assistant? Then we’re looking for you!
As an Administrative Assistant within ESG’s Proficiency Testing Team, you will work in a small team that organizes proficiency tests, produces test materials and sells reference materials to support quality assurance in laboratories worldwide.
Within this team, you and your colleagues will ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
You will be responsible for processing customer data, financial administration and the contact person for participating laboratories regarding their administration.
In addition, you will be the link between the Proficiency Testing Team and ESG’s finance department.
Your tasks include:
- entering customer data into our registration system;
- managing the functional mailbox;
- booking and processing the payments;
- sending purchase orders and other documents.
Your team
The Proficiency Testing Team is a team of 10 enthusiastic staff members who have been organizing laboratory proficiency testing for over 70 years. We have been ISO 17043 accredited for this purpose since 2000. We are known for our quality and customer-friendliness.
You will work here
The Proficiency Testing Team is one of the 14 ESG teams at Stichting Wageningen Research, based on the Wageningen University and Research Campus, in building 112 NERGENA.
Your qualities
In this role, you will combine communication skills with financial and administrative expertise.
You are:
- independent and able to work in a team;
- communicative and customer-focused;
- flexible and able to handle pressure;
You also possess:
- a completed MBO
- a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- extensive experience with MS Office

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €2.824,- and €3.893,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 6 - 7). This position is for 24 - 32 hours. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
