As a Assistant Project Controller, you will be part of the enthusiastic Finance & Control department of the Social Sciences Group. You will be involved in all phases of the project cycle and support your colleagues in the Project Control team with organising and carrying out all financial and administrative tasks related to the project portfolio. In addition, you will manage small and medium‑sized projects under the responsibility of the Front Office Project Controller.
The department offers a pleasant, driven, and open working atmosphere with attention to a healthy work–life balance. Besides the Project Control team, the F&C department also includes the Business Control team. The part of the organisation you will support as a project controller is the Department of Social Sciences of Wageningen University.
Your qualities
We are looking for someone with:
- An MBO or HBO degree, preferably in Business Administration or a similar field
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- A customer‑ and quality‑oriented mindset
- Good command of both Dutch and English
You will also recognise the following qualities in yourself: you take initiative, you act with integrity, you work accurately, and you are always looking for opportunities to develop yourself.
In our international working environment, English is increasingly used. For this position, a B2 language level is required. If you do not yet meet this level, we will of course support you, and you can make use of our language centre, Wageningen in’to Language.

Additionally, For this role a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
