Wageningen Bioveterinary Research in Lelystad is looking for a Communication Project Support Officer who contributes creatively to both internal and external communication around our research projects.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to quickly become familiar with new topics, come up with creative solutions to communication challenges, and make a valuable contribution to various projects. You will support project teams in planning and carrying out communication activities, strengthen the visibility of our projects, and ensure that messages are communicated clearly and effectively.

What will you do?
As a Project Support Officer, you work at the intersection of organization, communication, and collaboration. You support research projects by actively contributing to their visibility and help to further professionalize our communication.
Your tasks include:
- writing and editing clear and engaging content;
- identifying what is happening within our project organization and translating this into relevant internal and external communication;
- using creativity to develop (online) communication tools;
- contributing ideas for campaigns and communication approaches;
- organizing activities and meetings related to research projects;
- supporting the communication advisor with strategy, planning, and implementation of communication processes;
- acting as a contact person for researchers in carrying out communication plans and activities;
- preparing briefings for internal departments and external partners;
- managing and updating our LinkedIn channel.
You will work on multiple assignments at the same time, maintain an overview, and monitor the quality of your work.
Your team
As a Communication Project Support Officer, you are part of the supporting staff of our institute. Together with our senior communication advisor, you ensure that the internal and external communication of, for, and about our institute runs smoothly and that our work receives attention from relevant stakeholders.
Your qualities
You are curious, make contact easily, and know how to motivate colleagues and researchers to participate in communication initiatives. With your creative approach and healthy sense of humor, you are a pleasant, reliable, and energetic colleague.
You have:
- completed MBO or HBO degree and affinity with our research themes;
- experience with project-based work and communication.
Also useful in this role:
- strong communication skills;
- extensive experience with MS Office; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud;
- excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Furthermore, you are:
- good at planning and organizing;
- flexible and able to handle stress;
- friendly, patient, and confident.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between € 2.979,- and € 3.893,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 7). Additionally, For this role a contract for 24 hours can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended.
