Your job

As a Servicedesk Facilities desk agent, you contribute to providing the best possible customer experience for staff and students in facilities. Servicedesk Facilities (SDF) at Wageningen University & Research coordinates and monitors all facility-related reports submitted by staff and students. As an SDF desk agent, you answer questions, provide first-line support, refer issues, and coordinate facilities-related reports. 

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • providing first-line support for reports submitted to the service desk;
  • handling user inquiries from employees regarding systems such as proQme, WIN-PAK, Kuario, Inepro, and MyeXPense;
  • recording complaints, requests, information inquiries, and malfunctions, and monitoring them in Planon, the facility management system;
  • participating in operational meetings with locations and suppliers;
  • participating in projects and the implementation of facilities contracts.

Your team

You will be working alongside eight other colleagues in the SDF team in Actio building on the Wageningen University campus. The preferred working days are Tuesday and Friday.

Where you will be working 

Location Facilities (LF) is a support department within Facilities & Services of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). The department’s staff provide facilities support in WUR buildings and offer workplace support to staff, including office furniture and fit-out. With the growing number of WUR buildings, issues such as accommodation, the circular economy and sustainability are becoming increasingly important. In addition, this department manages the product and contract management of WUR-wide facilities contracts, such as catering, printing services, cleaning, and travel. We do this increasingly in collaboration with suppliers, in the form of partnerships.

Your qualities

Service and customer focus are of the utmost importance to you. You derive satisfaction from providing the best possible service to (internal) customers. Thanks to your service-oriented approach, you can manage facility requests and incidents quickly and effectively. You do this in an initiative-taking and flexible manner. 

In addition, it is important that you can manage busy situations well and set priorities to ensure efficient and customer-focused service. We value analytical skills when resolving recurring issues, whilst you must also be able to tackle complex problems. Collaborating with colleagues is an integral part of the role, with your ability to operate within a team contributing to the successful coordination of various facilities services.

You also have: 

  • a completed higher professional education (HBO) degree, preferably in the field of Facilities Management;
  • knowledge of facility management processes;
  • knowledge and experience with applications such as an electronic ordering system, and facility management software;
  • excellent written and spoken command of both Dutch and English.

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive salary ranging from a minimum of € 2,824.- to a maximum of € 3,567.- for a full 36-hour working week in accordance with the Wageningen Research Collective Labour Agreement (scale 6). A 32-hour working week is negotiable for this role. We are offering you a fixed-term contract for a period of 6–8 months.
