What the Finance & Control Traineeship Involves:
In just two years, you’ll take a significant step forward in your career. You’ll develop both hard and soft skills, participate in challenging training sessions with other enthusiastic trainees, and earn valuable certifications. During this period, you’ll be guided by experienced professionals within our organization. You won’t just support day-to-day tasks within the planning and control cycle, but also work on three innovation projects across different departments. These assignments provide a broad view of project control and help you build valuable experience and a strong network for the future.

Your qualities

  • you are a recent graduate or will graduate soon, with no more than two years of experience in the financial sector;
  • you have at least a higher professional (HBO) degree in accountancy, finance & control, business administration, MER, or a comparable financial study;
  • available for at least 32 hours per week;
  • good command of the Dutch language.

In our international work environment, English is increasingly used. For this position, a B1 language level is expected. If you haven’t yet reached this level, we’ll support you through our Wageningen in’to Language centre.

In addition to these secondary benefits, we offer a market-based salary of €3,231 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek in line with scale 8 of the Wageningen Research CAO. After successfully completing the traineeship, you will move up to scale 9. A 32-hour contract is negotiable. You’ll receive a two-yearcontract, which may be converted into a permanent contract based on mutual interest.

WUR welcomes applications from international candidates. However, for applicants for this specific
position from outside the EU/EFTA zone, immigration restrictions may apply based on Dutch and EU
immigration laws. Such candidates may be eligible for an “orientation year” in the Netherlands or a
visa as a “knowledge migrant”
