Your job

Do you want to contribute to our mission ‘To decrease the risk of (chronic) disease and improve the health of those with disease through better nutrition’? Our group is highly committed to providing high quality education closely related to our research themes.

The education program of the Chair group focuses on research methodology (design, analysis and interpretation of observational and intervention studies) and specific nutrition-related diseases (e.g. cancer, cardiometabolic diseases and obesity). Our main target groups are BSc and MSc students in the Nutrition and Health programme at Wageningen University – both with stable and relatively large student numbers. Our teaching portfolio comprises both on campus courses at Wageningen University and online courses facilitated through digital platforms. Every year, our scientific staff and PhD fellows supervise about 100 BSc and MSc students during their theses and internships.

We are now searching for a nutritionist (PhD) who finds fulfilment in online as well as on campus teaching and innovation of education in an academic environment. He/she has a particular interest in stimulating critical thinking, especially on research methodology. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating, teaching and examining  courses throughout the whole academic year. The candidate should have an interest in further development and innovation of our (online) courses. The candidate will supervise BSc and MSc students during their thesis and internships and will be responsible for coordinating the internships that are conducted by students of our chair group.  The candidate will actively collaborate with researchers in the chair group, and in the Division of Human Nutrition and Health, and is expected to integrate their research expertise and experience into teaching, ensuring that the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.

We invite you to become our new colleague and join our highly motivated team of teachers and researchers.
