Do you like variety in your work, are you stress-resistant, and do you quickly master administrative systems? Do you speak Dutch and English? Then you are the Management/Office Assistant we are looking for!
What will you do?
As Management/Office Assistant, you will run the secretariat of the Behavioural Ecology Chair Group at Wageningen University & Research (WUR).
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
• Secretarial and administrative duties (keeping track of important deadlines; processing data in various systems)
• First point of contact for staff, students, and guests
• Supporting the chair group (internal information provision; assistance with (administrative) questions)
• Organizational tasks (booking travel; planning and organizing meetings, events, and outings; communication: website and social media)
• HR tasks (contract changes, registering external staff/student assistants, checking time registration and leave)
• Financial tasks (placing and processing orders, budget management, expense control)
• Educational support tasks (course and grade registration, maintaining student administration)
Your qualities
- You are an assertive, energetic, and positive person with an eye for cultural differences and organizational relationships. You are reliable, honest, and discreet.
- You are curious and eager to learn, connecting, always looking for ways to improve work processes, able to handle stress well, and enjoy working as part of a team.
- You work accurately and independently, are customer- and service-oriented, flexible, proactive, well-organized, and able to maintain an overview and set priorities.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are digitally skilled, and have good knowledge of MS Office packages.
- You have a pleasant, clear, and service-oriented communication style. You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of English
In our international working environment, more and more communication is done in English. For this position, a language level of B2 is required. If you do not yet have this level, we will naturally support you — you can make use of our language centre, Wageningen in’to Language.

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary of between €2.872,- and €3.809,- for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 6/7). Additionally, a contract for 0,8 FTE can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
