Your job

As a Project Controller with us, you are the financial all-rounder who helps keep everything running smoothly. You are responsible for project and service reports, prepare budgets and ensure that project files are complete and up to date. And that is not all: you also ensure that services and projects are invoiced on time. In short, you are an important link between the primary process and the Finance department.

You have an advisory and monitoring role and support other partners within collaborative projects and partnerships. Within the Project Control team, you work closely with two other Project Controllers and a Project Administrator. Together with the Business Controllers, Project Leaders and Product Owners from the V&H and IT departments, you help ensure the efficient delivery of projects.

Thanks to your financial background, you will quickly be able to independently prepare and analyse financial reports and identify potential risks at an early stage. On top of that, you contribute to implementing internal control measures and reviewing processes and procedures. Excited to learn more?

Where you will work

Facility Services (FB, including Digital Information Services) at Wageningen University & Research is a professional service organisation with more than 500 employees. It is responsible for providing and supporting the physical and digital working environment for employees and students.

The team

The F&C department consists of nine employees: four Business Controllers and five Project Controllers. Together, they are responsible for financial and business-economic policy and management. Within the F&C department, we are looking for a Project Controller.

Who are you?

• a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, with at least a degree in Higher Economic and Administrative Education (HEAO), Business Economics or an equivalent qualification;
• at least three years of experience working with business and financial management concepts;
• strong analytical skills, with a careful and accurate approach and excellent communication skills;
• a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and interests at different organisational levels;
• experience working in an Agile environment and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances;
• solution-oriented and results-driven, keen to share knowledge and open to new perspectives and ideas.

Dutch speaking and writing skills are required for this position (B1 level).

In our international working environment there is an increasing amount of communication in English. For this position it is about language level B1.

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between € 3,640.- and € 5,132.- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 9). Additionally, for this role a contract for 32 hours to 40 hours can be discussed. We initially offer a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and depending on the organisation’s financial situation.
