Senior Information Manager

Your job
As an Information Manager at Wageningen University & Research, you ensure that all digital plans fit together well and that we do the right things first. You help directors and managers choose: what do we invest in, what can we do later, and what fits our strategy?
You keep an overview of all digital projects within business operations, education and research. You ensure that processes, information and systems logically connect and reinforce each other. You also look closely at the money: how many resources are there for digitization and where do we best use them?
You will work together with other information managers, architects, Product Owners and other colleagues to organize digitization in a smart and clear way. Within the Information Management team, you also help to get better agreements and clearer decision-making about all digital plans.
Your tasks and responsibilities as Information Manager
- You are responsible for the coherence, prioritization and governance of the digital portfolio within business operations;
- You develop and manage the digital roadmap and ensure that initiatives contribute to the strategic goals of the organization;
- You will support the board and management in decision-making about priorities, investments and the use of resources in the field of digitisation and information provision;
- At portfolio level, you monitor the balance between management, continuity and further development of digital services;
- You ensure coherence and clear prioritization within the digital portfolio.

Your qualities
- A completed university degree, preferably in business administration, information management, or something similar.
- Experience with digitization, information provision or organizational development in a complex organization.
- At least 5 years of experience in portfolio management, prioritization and governance of digital initiatives.
- Demonstrable ability to oversee larger change tasks and digital developments in a coherent way.
- Excellent communication skills, including English at C1 level.
In this role, we are looking for someone who can think strategically, quickly see connections and explain complex topics simply. You have to be able to create an overview in a busy environment with many interests and be able to help you make sharp choices. You have administrative antennae: you understand how decision-making works and move smoothly between the board, management and experts. In addition, you are a connector who brings different departments together and ensures that processes, information and digitization are aligned.
