I am a human geographer and PhD candidate at the Cultural Geography chair group at Wageningen University. My research interests include democratic planning, policy formation in contested spaces, multi-level governance and the limits to consensus-building in decision making. Inspired by the work of Michel Foucault and policy analysts such as Bent Flyvbjerg and Tim Richardson, my current project observes the rise and fall of spatial planning as a dominant state discourse to govern in Argentina at the beginning of the 21st century. I am particularly focused on the study of the construction, roles and performative effects of the will to consensus in the making of argentine infrastructure plans, policies and projects between 2003 and 2015.
