Effects of linuron on a rooted aquatic macrophyte in sediment-dosed test systems

This paper describes the effects of the herbicide linuron on the sediment-rooted aquatic macrophyte Myriophyllum spicatum L. in sediment-dosed test systems. In these tests, pore water concentrations provided the most relevant values for describing effects on the macrophytes. Mass balances showed a rapid uptake of linuron by macrophyte roots. This sediment-dosed test system was less sensitive than a comparable water-dosed test system.
