Climate change is disproportionately affecting the world’s most vulnerable, and most social-ecological systems are characterised by huge biodiversity losses. As a social scientist and lecturer I am motivated to address the urgent need for integrated adaptation pathways that contribute to synergies across sectors and systems, in ways that address social inequities.

I supervise MSc students around themes of adaptive management, adaptation pathways, climate-proofing smallholder agriculture, and critical perspectives on governance of natural resources. I am the internship coordinator for the Water Systems and Global Change group.

My teaching centres around the Academic Consultancy Training course in Spain, Researching Land and Water, and Issues and Concepts in Land and Water Management.
