At the moment, I am coordinator and lecturer for the course Science and Expertise in Nature and Environment at the Forest an Nature Policy group. I also work at the Open University in Heerlen as environmental science lecturer and researcher on science-policy issues in marine litter and climate adaptation actions. I successfully defended my PhD thesis Knowledge uncertainties in nature conservation Analysing science-policy interactions in the Dutch Wadden Sea in April 2018 . In my research that I conducted at the Environmental Policy group, I analysed the role of knowledge uncertainties in decision-making processes of three case studies in the Dutch Wadden Sea: a planned power boat race, mussel fishery and seagrass restoration.
