More than Human: Relational Pedagogies in Higher Education

The ‘More Than Human’ focuses on challenging human-centred worldviews and engaging with relational worldviews in higher education to respond to climate change.

To this end, it aims to systematically identify and map relational pedagogies in higher education across different disciplines. It will especially zoom on pedagogies that go beyond traditional human-centred approaches. ‘More Than Human’ will develop an evidence-informed framework of relational pedagogies in sustainability education. This framework targets competencies often overlooked in traditional pedagogies, ensuring that individuals cultivate relational capacities to participate in shaping a sustainable future. By challenging established educational paradigms, the project aligns with the broader imperative of responding to climate change through in-depth and innovative teaching methods. The project will promote the pedagogy framework via a flexible online training and a digital pedagogy hub.
