ir. PGP (Paul) Geurts Ramos

Paul Ramos got his MSc degree in Forestry at Wageningen University in 1996, with a specialization in Agricultural Knowledge & Innovation Systems (AKIS).

After several positions at Wageningen UR (as a teacher, researcher, manager, and advisor), he became Senior Advisor for International Policies in 2008. In this capacity, he contributed to the internationalization strategy of Wageningen UR, and was involved in setting up a number of international partnerships.

He was the chairman of the International Relations Officers group of the ELLS university network (Euro League for Life Sciences) in 2014 and 2015.

Between 2012 and 2024 he was WUR's International Liaison Officer for the USA and Canada, 
and a Steering Committee Member of the Agrifood 5 Alliance, A5.
(A5 is the academic alliance between Wageningen University, Cornell University CALS, UC Davis CAES, University of São Paulo ESALQ, and China Agricultural University)

As of July 2024, Paul works as International Business Development Manager at Wageningen Plant Sciences Group (PSG). With a strategic, partnership oriented approach to business development, he promotes WUR’s international ambitions, more specifically those of PSG, including those related to the UN SDGs.
