Projects - prof.dr. PH (Peter) Feindt

I have developed and led a range of research projects on various aspects of the contested transition of food and agriculture; citizen participation; and the role of communication and consumer behaviour in the governance of novel technologies. My research is inter- and transdisciplinary, theoretically guided and relevant to policy and practice.

Recent research projects:

Biopatenting and animal breeding applicability of patent law and recommendations for the future development of the regulatory and legislative framework. Research project in Cooperation with University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt and Technical University Munich. Funded by the German Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food. September 2010-March 2013. Simulating and Evaluating a Better Regulation of Converging Technologies (SEBEROC), Cooperation project Cardiff University, University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, University of Amsterdam, Austrian Academy of Science and SYKE Helsinki, funded under the Programme Scientific Knowledge for Environmental Protection (SKEP) by contributions from BMLFUW Austria, UBA Germany, VROM Netherlands, and FiMOE Finland. Review of current practices and criteria used to integrate environmental and social aspects into urban infrastructure development processes in cities in Europe, Study for the United Nations Economic and Social Council for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), with Andrew Flynn, November 2008-February 2009, Co-PI. Interdisciplinary perspectives on conflicts over the New Agricultural Policy, Research Group at the Research Centre on Biotechnology, Society and the Environment, University of Hamburg, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research and Education, May 2002-October 2007, PI.
