Restoring nature and creating resilient ecosystems is central to meeting the challenge of providing renewable and sustainable resources now and in the future. It requires us to understand the dynamics of ecosystem restoration and resilience, to work with business to make restoration a future ‘investment’ and research partners to deliver resilient ecosystems that can respond to environmental pressures such as invasive species, acid rain, nitrogen deposition and climate.
We apply our expert knowledge and skills in species and ecosystem restoration to work with decision-makers to develop policy and a range of measures for protected area designation and management.
We also work with business and research partners to create resilient ecosystems in practice, in order to form the basis of our natural capital to be able to cope with change and provide improved decision support models for policymakers and practitioners.
