We are in good company – as in 2020 University of Oxford and University of Nottingham were the number 2 and 3 on the list (see here). The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia that was launched in 2010 to rank campuses of universities all over the world on sustainability. The goal of GreenMetric is to bring sustainable impacts to universities around the world. For example, by encouraging sustainability practices in universities and facilitating partnerships on sustainability (read more here).

What sustainability topics are being reviewed? GreenMetric uses a set of criteria that focuses on six topics: Setting & Infrastructure, Energy & Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation and Education & Research.
