CFS presents: Summer School Circular Food Systems
We are excited to announce the CFS Network is hosting a summer school in The Netherlands this summer! We are welcoming 20 young professionals, MSc and PhD students working in the field of food and agriculture to join our fully funded international consultation on circular food systems. We are looking for the young professionals who are interested to learn more about circular agri-food systems and who are enthusiastic about contributing to shaping a policy & research agenda on circular food systems for the coming years.
During this 10-day summer program, a group of aspiring young professionals from different disciplines and from all over the world will come together in The Netherlands to discuss a range of aspects revolving around circular food systems (CFS). Would you like to gather new insights into circular food systems? Would you like to learn more from local farmers who have applied and improved circular practices to gain resource efficiency? Expand knowledge on CFS through acknowledged experts and professors? Help the Circular Food Systems Network in defining specific needs for policy or research for successful implementation of CFS? Who can apply?
- Young professionals, post-docs, Ph.D. candidates and advanced Master students from the fields of agriculture and food science. We also encourage students with different backgrounds (e.g., communication, business, sociology) but with affection/ and or experience within agriculture or food science to apply.
- You are fluent in English in speaking and writing.
- Motivated, enthusiastic and open-minded people who will participate in discussions and prepare for expert sessions by reading assigned materials
- Motivated to contribute to the assignment of the CFS network to define a policy and research agenda for CFS network
- You are able to obtain a VISA for travelling to The Netherlands

Participation costs
All costs related to the summer school, including accommodation, food, reading materials and expert lectures and social activities will be covered by CFS network. About the Circular Food Systems Network
The Circular Food Systems network (CFS network) is a network under the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA). The CFS network aims to develop an active international network of researchers in the field of circular food systems, where knowledge can be shared and collaboration between research groups can increase the development and implementation of circularity with in the agri-food system. The CFS network has the opportunity grant 20 ambitious MSc or PhD students to participate in this dynamic summer school program. We want to create a truly global, inclusive and diverse group by selecting students from all over the globe.
