COP27 side event: Delivering climate resilient food systems during multiple crises and fragility
Climate change is influencing both directly and indirectly food security and further challenges societies’ ability to respond to multiple crises, like: conflict and security, economic downturns, market disruptions and shocks like pests & diseases. Innovative science, sustainable finance and smart policy improve the resilience of food systems to climate change, fragility and other shocks, simultaneously.
In this side event to the COP27, scientists, youth and policy makers will share and discuss the best ways to increase resilient food systems in light of multiple crises.
Speakers include Ingrid-Gabriela Hoven (GIZ GmbH), Johan Rockström, Kitty van der Heijden, Martin Kropff (WUR) and Sok Silo.
