Exposition Marloes Bomers
Marloes is a painter who also draws and works with ink, collage and mixed media. Her work emanates from her fascinations and wonder. She is drawn to certain specific landscapes and forms in nature from a perspective that you could call contemporary animistic.
She works in series starting figuratively to end up more abstract by enlarging or reducing, changing color or by omitting more and more. Ultimately, it is no longer about recognizing the image, but about the shapes themselves. It is a process that feels to her like thinking with head and hands.
