  • 12.30 - 13.30 hrs
  • Speakers corner, Impulse
  • Free admission, open to everyone

On Tuesday, 10 November 2026, we welcome Ground Effect for a lunch concert in Impulse. Ground effect is a 4 piece band that creates original modern jazz-fusion music with a strong focus on sound, dynamics, and melody. Featuring electric bass, drums, piano, and guitar, the group blends a contemporary edge with a deep sense of musical storytelling.

Their compositions combine unconventional harmonies with moments of nostalgia, creating a sound that feels both forward-thinking and familiar. Thoughtfully arranged songs allow space for contrast and flow, where subtle textures can grow into powerful, driven sections. Solos move fluidly between intensity and calm, always serving the music and the collective atmosphere.

Rooted in jazz but shaped by modern influences, the band’s music is dynamic, expressive, and deeply connected - inviting listeners into a world that’s as immersive as it is emotionally resonant.

About the lunch concerts

About the lunch concerts

Every Tuesday from 12:30 to 13:30 we invite you to enjoy a lunch concert or performance on Wageningen Campus: a moment to come together, relax, and be inspired by live music or dance.
The lunch concerts are meaningful because they:

  • connect – students, staff, and visitors meet in an informal setting
  • surprise – each week features a different artist and genre
  • celebrate diversity – both professional performers and students share the stage
  • energise – a performance in the middle of the day brings inspiration and a fresh perspective
This creates a varied series where no week is the same.

Are you a student and interested to perform? Please contact the floor manager of Impulse.
