Conservation biology

Our research in conservation biology encompasses several projects. Part of our work includes determining human-wildlife conflicts in natural environments that are under pressure by human activities as well as the use of animal conditioning, which can provide valuable insights for policy and management decisions.

Additionally, our focus extends to exploring the interplay between biodiversity, pest management, and farm productivity in ecological farming systems through the field of acoustic ecology. Our research also includes the effect of human pressures on sustainable development and conservation, as well as the integration of human and wildlife in a sustainable manner.

Topics

  • Human-wildlife conflict
  • Eco-acoustics (Acoustic ecology)
  • Animal Conditioning
  • Invasive species (Lionfish in the Mediterranean)
