Learn about this course

Introduction
Finland is at the forefront of building a resilient society. In fact, they have never stopped planning for the next emergency, whether that comes in the form of weather shocks, supply chain disruptions or geopolitics. A resilient food system is at the heart of a resilient society. With a short growing season and geopolitical pressure at its doorstep, Finland is investing heavily in preparedness planning. Food system resilience can be enhanced by using principles of circularity: closing loops of energy, biomass, and nutrients - from farm to fork.
